Picard S2/3 - New Starfleet Ship? [Potential Spoilers]

Little early for the full thread, but I spotted this via Twitter:

Round saucer + phaser strips + blue LCARS? Quite a mix. Dare I suggest a refitted pre-TNG ship, with post-Nemesis LCARS..? I think this is also the same LCARS as that transporter console seen previously?

We've seen some kind of Stargazer variation on a chair, I think.

I forgot who posted the below image back in the day but if you follow all the bread crumbs and hints about the show’s third season ship, it leads strongly in the direction of a Stargazer of some kind. Refit, Stargazer-A, whichever.

It would make sense, given how the original idea for PIC was nothing more than a Short Trek episode Kurtzman wanted to make that had a brief scene on the Stargazer (with Jean-Luc being played by another actor, obviously).

Huh. Looking closer, I spy what look like TMP era phaser ball turrets, inboard of the supposed phaser strips. Oddly there is no forward phaser strip either, which isn’t a showstopper by any means but is still a strange omission if true. Neat!

You sure it's round? It looks more ovoid in that screenshot to me, very similar to the Sovereign-class.

The bridge dome is ovoid. The saucer itself is round.

There is an Ambassador phaser strip on the port side.

The globes aren’t meant to be phaser banks…I don’t think. Oh, the gold squares with two each….a mix.

A recessed area for ten-forward?

Nice drawing, but that's just a fan-made speculation, not actually done by Tourangeau.

I have to say, though, that I really dig Terry Matalas's tweets about S3. I'm liking that guy more and more.

As I mentioned in another thread, based on its registry number, it could be either a Bradbury class or Nova class starship. But it could just as easily be something else. My inner nerd wants to see them actually make a new design for the conjectural Bradbury class starship, but I'm pretty sure I'm asking for too much.
