Keep in mind, what you saw at the premiere may not be how it appears on the actual show.

For instance, at the 3-episode premiere, they only showed the opening and ending credits once. Obviously, it was edited just for the premiere. The same could have happened with the title.

True but the trend in TV right now is not showing titles. I would be surprised if they have them for Picard. Personally I like them and so does Seth Mcfarlane apparently as they do appear on the Orville

Since Disco episodes don't show their titles, but the Short Treks do, I'm inclined to think it'll be the same for Picard.

Titles on screen were an outlier even when TNG was on the air!

I will also be surprised if the opening credits will even have character names displayed (something else I also miss). Come to think of it Star Trek Enterprise didn't even have them.

I’m pretty confident that, were they to add episode titles in, they would’ve done it before finalising the episode. The credits follow the exact same formula as the Discovery ones, which also don’t have the titles etc.

So, as discussed, basically the entirety of Episode 1 has now been revealed through trailers and clips. If it weren't for the audio, you could probably splice them together to produce several solid chunks of it, particularly the beginning. Of course, not everything we've seen is from Episode 1, but my impression is very much that the vast majority is. Yes, we know eventually Seven makes an appearance, and Hugh, and Riker, and Troi, and there will be Synths. But what else? It seems like we're seeing a lot of the show, but really there are likely episodes we haven't seen a single second of yet so far. What could those hide? Beverly? Geordi? Worf? It leaves one hopeful that they have plenty of surprises left up their sleeve.

I'm not saying that there WILL be titles. I strongly suspect there won't be. I'm saying they COULD easily have removed them for the premiere, as they made other edits that were just for the premiere, too. And putting titles in is basically the last thing you do anyway. It doesn't happen before the episode is "finalised."

Standard length. I think it’s just under 50 minutes, but I wasn’t timing it (it started late, at our showing).

CTV allocated an hour for it. I'm assuming it will run with ads, so roughly 50min or less without ads is about right.

Can’t say I really see the issue, personally. There’s only 2 people in here who have seen the episode.

the only advantage of a new thread is it makes it easier for people to jump to the part where people have actually seen the episode. I know if I come to a thread after watching an ep I want to see what people thought of the actual ep and wading through 40 pages to get to that point can be tough.
