PIC S3 Ships & Tech

I doubt they’re going to have two concurrently running shows with a ship named Enterprise. Despite what looks suspiciously like the setup for a new show, I don’t think it’s gonna happen, unless they decide to end SNW after the second season.
What happens if they change precedences?

A singularity will spontaneously form and suck the whole universe inside it.

Interestingly, there are some conspiracy theories that CERN accidentally did just that and broke the Matrix back in 2008, and we've been living in an emergency back-up version of the simulation ever since. :D

Weirder things have happened...

Only two spring to mind – the spontaneous combustion of the Mayor of Warsaw in 1546, and that incident in 12th-century Burgundy when it rained herring.

LOL, Yeah. Amending my post to: Two Active Flashes (Gustin, Miller) check! Two active Batmen (Keaton, Affleck) check! Two active Enterprises (spoiler, SNW Enterprise) check! :)

So, I was right about the G ;)

Think there's a big chance that the Enterprise-G will be revealed in the season finale!

Maybe commanded by Captain Annika Hansen? ;)

In retrospect it's obvious that they refitted the Titan to have a new design for another Enterprise.

It was really kinda shyamalanesque to watch a new Enterprise all the time without knowing it ;)

By the way the Pakled are precogs. They knew they were dealing with another Enterprise

Shower thoughts ahead of a more detailed post:

While it was quickly glossed over, Starfleet did endure a huge attack and they’re ostensibly facing a real manpower shortage for an extended period of time. Focusing on smaller ships and smaller crews until they can build the humanoid resources back up would make a certain amount of sense, and as such so would be a smaller hero ship to bear an important name. Ditto for rushing their prodigies through the Academy.

Still woulda preferred they left her as she was, though.

Anyone have screen caps of the ships at the very ending in dock at the museum? I saw something that I didn't see before and I need to confirm it. Something interesting in the lower ring...

Looking at you, @NCC-73515. Don't let me down! ;)

The Franklin looking thing?

That's the one!!

See that little ship down there on the lower right?

Not quite an exact match, but it looks to me a lot like an old FASA ship called the "Derf" class. Interesting design, but one of the most egregiously bad non-canonical ship names in all of Trek history

DERF!

Engines look farther apart and closer to the hull than the original design, but close.

if you flip it upside down is it a Fred class or just a California?

I was thinking it might be the Franklin, if they found it in the Prime timeline as well, but it could also be one of the Intrepid types.since Franklin had a speed milestone record, it might belong in the museum whereas its hard to tell what an Earth Starfleet intrepid might have done to belong there.

The squared-off aft corners of the hull is what made me think of the Derf when I first saw it. Forgot about the engine spacing. The Franklin and Cali classes don't have that square hull that's flush with the main saucer like that. Not familiar with the Fred class. At one point, I thought, maybe an upside-down SNW Farragut-type, but it, too, does not have the square aft hull.

There's also the Larson-class, which is also similar, but it only has one engine.

I dunno...

I was joking about the Fred.. derf backwards. humor is not my best subject.

yeah looking back, Franklin has a pie-with-a-slice-cut-out-of it hull. Intrepid had a semicircular hull and fins. Unless its upside down, not a TOS era Miranda. someone else said it's the Pioneer, so I guess that fits.

 I get it now - my bad...
So, here's the Pioneer:

Its nacelles are angled in at roughly a 60 angle to a center point on a secondary hull-like structure middle-top.

This is the ship in question:
pioneer.png

I suppose it's possible that it's the Pioneer, and that the structure I'm seeing in the corner is the little nav deflector hull underneath, but it seems really off-center to the left and rear if it is, compared to the known schematic, and the nacelle pylons on this one look like they go vertically straight down, as opposed to at an angle, to some other structure, also underneath.

This is kind-of bugging me now. What the hell is this thing?
