Phyllis Douglas has died........

I kind of wish they had kept her as a permanet replacement for Grace Lee Whitney instead of the 'Yeoman of the week' format they tried for the rest of season one.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this thought. It's really a shame it didn't happen.

Oh well. maybe Mears can appear in a future novel one of these days.

No, no... quite a few of us have had that thought (amongst others). She certainly wasn't one of these clingy, "I'm frightened" damsels in distress - which is what I liked about her...

^Yeah, when Spock asks for her phaser she kind of hesitates---like she'd rather have the phaser handy for blasting big ugly Fed killing aliens

The girl in Shore Leave was beautiful, no doubt, but sure did a lot of weeping and wailing----maybe Mears would have kicked 'Don Juan' in the nuts instead.

She's a pretty girl, especially her eyes.

I still rememberer her this way.

Sad to read and they are disappearing at fast rate. Shall not forgot.

I’ll run that episode tonight because Spock is logical guy to make logical decisions on who lives and who dies, at the hands of those ape like creatures?

RIP Phyllis, may you find your way to Eden.:)

I didn't know she played one of the space hippies. :wtf:

Memory Alpha is good resource for anything that is Star Trek.
