But they might deflect direct blows to the eyes. It's not a bad design, just so far misunderstood by fans unwilling to accept change. Open your mind, youngling.I think it's weird that their brow ridges are so prominent that their sight is now obstructed. That doesn't seem like an advantage for a warrior/hunter type of species.

Indeed. If they liked the hairless look, they could have still used it for their main character Klingons, but let some of the background extras have hair. It is just weird that the entire species seems to be completely hairless now.It's really too bad they decided to get rid of the hair. The current makeup with the hair looks very, very Klingon! They actually look like 'modernized' Klingons rather than 're-imagined' as far as my understanding of the difference in meaning would be.
