You are confused by the warp effect and the torpedo effect...The warp effect causes epileptic fits and you are warned by the announcer...

The 4 light streak photon effect issteady anddoes not pulsate although it rotates slowly and thus does not cause fits.


I wonder if in the new film what kind of probes will be used for reconnisance or to explore a dangerous environment.


In TOS they mentioned probes but never showed them.I Think in the new film they should show the probe being fired and also being prepared.

Another thing that comes to mind is the pod in which Finney was claimed to have been jettisoned,which we never saw.
