Phaser Bank Depletion and Recharge Time ?

DumbDumb2007

Commander
How long was it meant to take to exhaust the Energy stored in the Phaser Banks after they were fired constantly ? How long was the recharge time meant to be ?

Six shots, then they open the chamber, reload 6 bullets, snap the chamber back in place, spin it, pull back the hammer and fire again. :)

No data on recharge, because we can't really tell whether repeated shots would be coming from the same emitter. Witness "Paradise Syndrome": Spock explicitly calls for three different banks to fire, yet the beams emerge from the one and the same spot.

This might be taken to indicate that phaser banks really take relatively long to recharge, hence the custom of placing three in the same location for alternate firing and recuperating...

Unless they are playing Romulan Roulette..... then it is only 5 times.
