Has anyone wrote or read fan fiction based the 70 s proposed series that never came to be?

I've played around with the idea, but never gotten to actually doing it. Have got copies of a few of the scripts. The one that intrigues me most is the tow-parter Kitumba which takes Klingon culture/society a lightly different direction than we saw in TNG onwards. Maybe with the current situation and having time on my hands, I'll take another stab at this.

Really, any number of the old novels could almost be considered 'Phase II' stories, although obviously they lack Ilia and Decker as characters.

Well, for official fiction, the comic Star Trek: Waypoint #6 ("The Fear") remains the only piece of published Phase II fiction, with Decker, Ilia, Xon and all the main elements of Phase II.
