can anyone post pics of the unused phase 2 enterprise ship? i seen a painting of it on the back of some marvel comics out around the time before release of sttmp and i read it was used in tng at the battle of wolf 359 somewhere, anyone?
You guys are talking about PLANET OF THE TITANS, not PHASE II. The third poster, his image, THAT is from PHASE II.I loved that ship. I wish Brian Fuller would use those Ralph Mcquarrie designs for a new series set 100 years after TNG. Now that would be cool.
If there's one Trek related misattribution I could stamp out, it's that the Planet of the Titans designs and any of McQuarrie's work were for Phase II. Argh.Yeah, McQuarrie's design would be this monster...
If you look in the lower right of the same drawing, there's another detail about the angle at which the pylon joins the nacelle, with an instruction which looks like it reads "sweep back 30°-35°" (or possibly "38°-35°"?) The hand holding the pole may be used in illustrating that same configuration, perhaps?Interesting, the inclusion in the Jefferies sketches of that drawing of a hand holding a pole. Perhaps an athlete preparing to throw a javelin? Inspiration for the shape of the nacelle pylons?
i like it!
Besides being a bit recessed, the difference between these Phase II windows and the ones on the 11' model is...?I hate the windows on the saucer...
