Petition to bring back a killed Walking Dead character (SPOILERS)

It is only natural for characters to die in a zombie series and while some viewers may think it is unnecessary, there is really no point in bringing her back from the dead. It would disrupt other parts of the television series and would not make much sense.

So far the petition to bring Laurie Holden back to "The Walking Dead" has eight signatures. Their goal is to have 1,000 signatures.

Even if they had 1,000 people to sign or even a million, it is unlikely that Andrea's character would return to the show.

No, I'm not signing it. I thought it was interesting she still has fans considering how much the writers tried to ruin her character as much as possible this season. I blame the writers for how the character was mishandled. Comic Andrea and TV Andrea couldn't be more different from each other. I hope the actress can move on to better things.

But I'll be happy if they bring back T-Dog over Andrea! :techman:

I'd be more interested in seeing Maggie essentially become the Andrea of the comics. Excepting that she'd still be with Glenn, of course. As I see it, she's nearly there already.

But they're gone. There's no way to bring them back unless it was a flashback or hallucination. Or they were tv magically immune to whatever that plague is...like in "I Am Legend" and she wakes up and it was all a dream like in Dallas....

Don't see the point, especially as Walking Dead's only consistent sense of plot development is to kill off characters and add new ones.

Supporting Laurie Holden in her next career venture (whatever that is, but who wants to bet she'll appear on Darabont's Lost Angels, which already has Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey DeMunn) would seem to be more productive.

I hate Andrea and did a happy dance when she finally died, i wouldn't even sign this petition if people paid me to do it.

I like Laurie Holden, I've seen her in other parts and she's good, she deserves a new job with better writing.

To paraphrase Bill Shatner's reaction to some obsessive compulsive Star Trek fans, some people who are way to into their fav TV show need to, "....get a life."

Why don't they bring back Shane, Dale and Laurie while they're at it? FFS!

Well technically we did see Shane in season 3 ;) and they keep bringing Lori back (unfortunately)

Andrea was an interesting character, but only insofar as they didn't seem to know what to do with her (never read the comics so I don't know what comic Andrea is like). I liked her early on but she increasingly annoyed me. Much as with Lori I wasn't hugely disappointed when she died.

Comic Andrea is waaaaaaaaaay better. In fact, the only reason why I wanted Andrea to stick around was in hope that the writers would be able to move her more towards her comic book counterpart but alas that isn't to be.

They only kept bringing Lori back because they'd signed Sarah Wayne Callies for an entire season and killed her character off after her third appearance. Might as well recoup some of that expenses when you still have her. I'd be very surprised if we see her in season 4.

I actually thought a lot of it looked like stock footage. Anyway, one of the final scenes of the season finale seemed to make it clear that Rick has gotten past that, when he looked up and was no longer haunted by her ghost.

Of course, Sarah Wayne has form in the whole 'bring a character back from the dead because of fan outcry' thing - remember how her Prison Break character was killed and, lo and behold, that wasn't actually her head we saw in a box?!
