having said that, startrek.com leaves much to be desired!

It's about time they revamped things.

TREK needs a complete overhaul. Paramount is right on.

That site is way too TNG/DS9 centric.

We have to realize Star Trek is a TV show from 1966 starring the Shat. Everything else recieves its life giving energies from this central source; the Shat.

Hopefully JJ Abrams has purchased a can of Shat for the next film; it will be essential.

I expect to see bright TOS colors on startrek.com for Christmas! Or New Years.

If startrek.com goes down, it will not be a great loss IMHO. I mostly use the site to see which episode of TOS-R will be on for a given week. The content is far less interesting than on most fan-made sites, and the lack of any real critical commentary is a real disappointment.
