Peter Jurasik as Dr. Phlox?

Aquehonga

Fleet Captain
I think he would've been better than Peter Billingsley. Is PB related to Barbara somehow:confused:

PJ as The Abominable Dr. Phlox instead of Petey B.

PJ would've given Doc Phlox more bravado & charisma than Petey B did. PB basically engaged in a 25/8 Garak impersonation. That's funny being Andrew Robinson's portrayal of Garak was largely a Felix Unger{Tony Randall's, not Jack Lemmon's!} impersonation.

So Petey B's Doc Phlox was a 2-degree mimicry of Felix Unger.

Plus PJ would've had better chemistry with Bakula's Captain Beckett & Mr. Reed.

Had B&B cast Peter as Doc Phlox, it would've been a Jurasik part.

Billingsley played that part perfectly; no one could have done it better. BTW: I've never heard of Peter Jurasik.

Peter Jurasik was Londo Mollari on "Babylon 5." But who is Peter Billingsley?

Anyway, I think Peter Jurasik would have been hilarious as Phlox. But John Billingsley cracked me up as well.

John Billingsley was perfect as Phlox, and easily the best actor in the ENT cast.

Peter Jurasik would have been wonderful, I'm sure, but JB rocked.

And nothing about John's performance in any way resembled Andrew J. Robinson's Garak. I literally cannot think of any two more diametrically opposite characters.

John Jurasik would have been better than any of them

If you actually think about, Phlox's happiness and inherit joy was more closer to G'kar of babylon 5 in the later seasons. (earlier seasons he just wanted blood-blood-blood)

I think Andreas katsulas would have done a much better job than either two mentioned above, but before the actor died he got poorly written alien extra roles in trek.

From Romulans in TNG to captain of the ship in the Progenitor ep.

But, if any sci-fi fan who has watched every epsiode that includes G'kar says Adnreas couldn't do a better job at acting virtually any character if he was given free reign to input his own thoughts....would be poorly mistaken. I believe Andreas was one of the best actors to EVER set foot in the sci-fi arena.

Only one show gave him a chance to show it though, and it wasn't trek.

Hey I like Tomalak.

PJ might probably do well as Dr Phlox but I wouldn't think it's a good idea. I'll keep expecting him to make Londo-like remarks ; "Physics tells us that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. They hate us, we hate them, they hate us back. And so, here we are, victims of mathematics!". :p And there's no Vir for him to ping pong. :p

JB is fine as Phlox, I thought he turned in a fine performance.

The late Andreas Katsulas was sadly underuse in Trek. Tis a joy to watch G'Kar's evolution in B5. Imagine what Tomalak would have been like if the char had been given a chance to flesh out further.
