I haven't seen it but I believe it's just an episodic depiction of one year's purge events.

I think it's one night for ten episodes. But there are probably flashbacks and some aftermath as well. Just guessing. I was thinking about binging it; I think it's still airing.

Mark Lenard as Sarek was pretty on the spot, IMO. Probably the best performance/portrayal of a full-Vulcan we see in Trek.

I forgot about montalban, giving him a sleeveless shirt to show of his muscles, was a very good idea,it reinforces the power the symbolises.

As a kid I never realised they were women, only that they looked and sounded pretty weird! When I did find out I was pretty shocked I can tell you!

I like in ROA they never exposition ya as to what is going on at Red Hour. We can infer, but I like the alienness of it with no explanation.

- He observed the cast often didn't get along on the set - and there was some noticeable acrimony at times.

- BOTH Nimoy and Shatner were 'counting lines' in discussions with the Director (IE this was at a time when Nimoy - due to fan letter response - thought HE was the real 'Star' of the series and not the lead Shatner; so both were contentious about how many lines the other guy had in the episode.)

- He thought the shots where they just had him sitting in the chair doing 'crazy' facial reactions on camera (to be used as Deker's shuttle approached the Doomsday Machine) were just plain ridiculous to do; and he didn't think they worked well; but he did what the Director called for.

One thing I remember distinctly from an interview was that when the questioner mentioned the scene where he was about to fly into the mouth of the planet killer and asked "What were you thinking then?" He said, "i was thinking it was close to lunchtime, and maybe I would get a sandwich."

Yeah...he didn't exactly lose himself in the character.

I always knew the lead Talosian was a woman. It always seemed obvious to me, but I always assumed at least one of the others was male.

Yes, the fatter faced one seemed the most masculine! But Meg Wylie looked pretty much like a weedy man alien that is until I found out she was a woman!

Lenard was great, but he wasn't the first full Vulcan onscreen since "Amok Time" preceded "Journey to Babel."

T'Pring, T'Pau, and even Stonn predate Sarek.

Strangely enough, Greg, the BBC used to show Journey To Babel before Amok Time in their seventies screenings!
