Ah yes, the famous BBC lottery. I play it every Grogsday without fail.

Oh yeah. If that was real, I'd be a bazillionaire by now. I win at least once a week. It's uncanny.

The real purpose of all those chain e-mails is to harvest active e-mail accounts to send you those wonderful lottery notices. I am a trillionaire, or at least I will be when I send all my personal information in order to collect.

July 2005 had 5 Fridays, Sats and Suns, as did July 1994 and 1988 and 1983... need I go on?

oddly, these months had only 3 Thursdays

If a month starts on a Friday The first Thursday of that month will be the 7th. Subsequent Thursdays will be the 14th, 21st and 28th. That's four Thursdays. Leap year Februaries that start on Friday and other months starting on Friday every year will/had Friday the 29th. Thirty day months starting on a Friday will have Saturday the 30th and 31 day months starting on a Friday will have Sunday the 31st.

Look at April on your 2011 calender for an example of a thirty day month starting on a Friday. Imagine the following Sunday as the 31st as the configuration for a 31 day month. I suspect there are templates to generate calenders for any month on Google Documents (speardsheet), but if you have trouble finding one I could probably come up with a speadsheet.

A year or two ago there was a lead bank official who fell for it, and sent something like (from memory) over $20,000.00. Needless to say the bank owner was not happy about this
