Pentagon Chooses Two Companies to Build Flying Humvee

Flying is easy, you just fly.

Landing is the hard part.

Computer assisted landing.. modern planes have automated landing systems already so in theory a plane could land by itself.

Landing a helicopter is even easier.

You, sir, have never seen me land a helicopter in any flight sim. :D

I have to agree with Sarek. Usually when I land a helicopter in an FPS I do it by jumping out right before it hits the ground. Landing those things can be a bitch, especially when people are shooting all around you, and there is always the distraction of people typing comments like, "learn how to fly you fking noob".

When I used to play Battlefield: Vietnam, I always ended up flying the helicopter. Thing is, I flew so erratically that I never got taken down by AA fire, and we always landed, usually on houses, so you'd see these guys jumping out of the helicopter and sliding down the roof to the ground. I still stand by the belief that any landing you can walk away from is a good one.
