Did you see the picture on trekmovie.com? He looks more the part now.
Hardly. Hopefully he'll be wearing in wig in Trek. Scotty had much more hair than Pegg has.
If those bastards don't give Pegg the EXACT SAME HAIR STYLE as Doohan I'm boycotting this piece of crap!!!
Since I haven't seen any pictures, I always have that Hot Fuzz mental image of him in a TOS uniform. It's a bit strange.
Honestly, they could leave it like that for all I care. It's how his role is written and how he acts it that matters to me.

Pegg goes dark
Simon Pegg’s usual look is blond, but in the picture below from his recent appearance on the Encore post-show at this year’s Brit Awards you can see that he gets closer to the original Scotty’s look with a darker style (but not black as it was originally with Doohan). And although he didn’t shave his head, Pegg did shave his beard. Although there is some stubble below, TrekMovie.com has been told that his Scotty is clean shaven.
Here's a tip: when you're wrong about something - as you are, in this case - using someone else's mistake to support yours doesn't make you right. Not even a little bit.
Do you know the difference between black hair and brown hair?
The only actor on TOS who might have been said to have black hair would have been Takei. Even Nichols' hair was only very very dark brown.
