This is what I mostly miss about how things were when I was a kid; in those days, the dominant trend in society was all about promoting peace and love and progress. Now it's all about people hiding their fear and insecurity behind anger and a facade of unearned cynicism. The harder someone tries to appear tough to the world, the more they entrench their weakness.
