Pavel Chekov yells...!

There is a 'Best Riker yells' in the TNG forum, so I thought I start a thread for one of the legendary characters who is known for his signature yelling....

....And, as many will know, that crosses into the films as well..

So I'm not sure whether this will go in 'General Trek' or 'Movies'. Mods move wherever applicable.

Off the top of my head:

*'This Way to Eden'~Where Chekov touches an 'acid-y' plant towards the end of the episode.

*'Day of the Dove'~Chekov feels the pain of the Klingon agonizer.

*'Mirror, Mirror'~Chekov feels the pain of the agony booth....(Poor Chekov, feeling a lot of pain in some of these episodes!)

*TWOK~That 'scene' with the Ceti Alpha eels....as well as the 'other' scene before Kirk gives his own 'KHAAAN!' yell.

I could imagine a hypothetical deleted scene in TVH, where he drops to his knees and screams "nuclear wessels!!!!" as his frustration grows when no one can tell him where they are.

One of them sounds just like a full scream but is executed with his mouth only half open. The episode is on YouTube legally if anyone wants to see just what I mean. I've been laughing at that particular scream over decades of viewing.

I have to agree that Chekov's scream in The Tholian Web, along with the hilariously bad editing, is the king of all Chekov screams. Just before he yells is classic, too, as he exclaims in a panicked voice, "And die like HIM!"

My other two fave Chekov screams are when the V'Ger probe burns his arm in TMP, and then the blood-curdling scream in TWOK when Khan puts the eels in his and Terrel's ears!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

You forgot The Motion Picture, where his flesh is sizzled by an arcing console. I'm sure someone realized along the way that it just wouldn't be Star Trek if they didn't have Chekov scream.

^While true, I'm going off-topic here when I mention there were a few times when Sulu screamed horrifically: When he's given the antidote in The Naked Time, he lets loose with a blood-curdling scream; and in That Which Survives, Losira touches him slightly when she tries to off him, and he screams in pain. -- RR
