Patrick Stewart asked about Discovery

Need a young Lt Morgan Bateson on bridge for that one just to really make things awkward.

If he is referring to that he might be on Star Trek Discovery as Jean Luc Picard. Then that would explaned why there's a TOS shuttlecraft on the DS9 CBS All Access poster.

I would honestly rather they not have cameos from anyone prominent from any other Trek series. Even if they're another character, it's going to pull you out of the story.

I'm still wondering what's taking DSC so long to get Vaughn Armstrong on the show...he's been in every other Trek show (save TOS), so why not this one?

Or as whichever of Picard's ancestors might be alive and active as of DSC's time frame.

Brief clip of a recent interview with Patrick Stewart. He seems a bit confused thinking a new film imminent, but says about Discovery, "I may have cause to look at it very soon"....

The comment could mean anything, but it does feel like I've possibility could be a hint about being asked to spear in some form.
It's pretty much the same type of response you got from William Shatner when TNG was starting in First Run syndication 31 years ago....IE - "What? Another Star Trek?? Sure, I'd love the paycheck..." ;)

Jeffery Combs allegedly (so take this with a grain of salt) said that they didn’t want to bring on any reoccurring actors from previous series.

^ But DSC has already had two previous actors return:

- Clint Howard, who’s done many prior Trek roles, played an Orion in “Will You Take My Hand?”

- Tasia Valenza (the Vulcan cadet T’Shanik in TNG’s “Coming Of Age”) was the computer voice on the Shenzhou

I think it means he meeting up with Frakes soon and they're either going to watch the Season 1 episode Frakes directed or he's going to visit Frakes on the set of Season 2.

Also, Admiral Picard will never happen. If anything it will be Ambassador Picard but I doubt Picard would give up the Enterprise to become a desk jockey at Starfleet Command.

I said reoccurring not one offs.

I would count Clint Howard as recurring. He's been in TOS, DS9 and ENT before this.

As for Picard: I would love it if Sir Pat would appear on DSC as the Picard ancestor of the time, but I doubt he would agree to it. I think that would indeed be too distracting.

Unless there's a story to be had, of course. :shifty:

Mr Pickard flogging expensive wine to Starfleet, before Earth gets rid of money lol

I doubt we’ll be seeing Admiral Picard any time soon. Unless the show becomes so horrible that they have to resort to silly fanwank like that to get viewers.

You didn’t see the section 31 clip? The ‘new’ enterprise? Mudd? Mirror universe episodes?
Whatever the next stage up from fanwank is, we are heading towards it at Warp 9.7.
And I like the show atm. XD
