I remember I used to catch reruns of The Avengers on the CBS Late Late Movie show. I was a youngling back then, but I recall the series was pretty cool.

Oh, let us also not forget another good Macnee cameo: Sir Dennis Eton-Hogg from This Is Spinal Tap.

The Avengers is...well, something completely inimitable and priceless (one of the very, very few things that IMO should never be remade, rebooted or otherwise screwed with). He is the primary reason it was so great.
