Pat Robertson Voodoo Doll!

It really is an uncanny likeness of Robertson. I'd recognize those green cheeks and eyebrows and those freaky little fried egg eyes anywhere. And the money bag? Classic Pat.

Pat is not saying God killed them, he is saying they brought it on themselves by making the pact if they did. In other words, you make a pact with the devil, then accept what he brings. God isn't the only power, there is an evil power also.

My stepdaughter went to Haiti on a missionary trip 10 years ago and they did dance around a camp fire chanting, trying to call up the demons so some of that pact may have been true.
Are you for real, or are you pulling our leg?

Yes, for real. You don't expect the liberal news media to tell all that, that will validate Robertson do you? It is true and she said she is never going back.

How dare they live in a poor developing country and not have access to the sort of education and high living standards the rest of us do.

These evil paupers deserve everything they get!

Why would they validate him? (And for the record, even Fox called him out on it)
Even the Bible doesn't validate him on this issue. Read Jesus' comments on the Tower of Siloam or even the book of Job.

Yeah, totally true. I'm sure that folk festivals with bonfires and dances are actually demon-worshiping black sabbath. Curse the liberal media for not telling me that!

I remember doing this in the Boy Scouts. We built a fire and then took turns chanting: Owah! Tagu! Siam! It was fun, try it. Say it faster and faster...

1. What Hoser said.
2. That's some mighty faith in Christ you and your daughter have...let her go on a missionary trip then when she runs home afraid of the demons, you let her give in to her fears. Wow.

It's okay to make fun of people for that.

Like Curt Shilling? Good.

I agree. Two wrongs don't make a right.

But this is not two wrongs. It is also not mean-spirited.
Making a voodoo doll of someone and publicizing it sure is. Why not make one of Danny Glover? One says they deserved it because they offended God and the other says they deserved it because they offended the Earth.

The bidders could always simply donate their bids anyway. No need to sink to Pat and Danny's level.
Wow, and I thought Robertson was an ass.

And Danny Glover DID NOT say that the Haitian people "offended the Earth". He pointed out that humanity has failed to stop its abuse of the planet and that the destruction in Haiti is an example of the sort of devastation we will all have to deal with if we don't get this thing under control.

I say it is malicious to intentionally misunderstand what Danny Glover was saying and attack him for one's own intentional misunderstanding.

Here's what Glover actually said:

I hope we seize this particular moment because the threat of what happened to Haiti is the threat that could happen anywhere in the Caribbean to these island nations, you know. They're all in peril because of global warming, they're all in peril because of climate change and all of this....

When we look back at what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I'm saying? But we have to act now.

Unlike some people who deliberately misquote and lie about what Glover said to make it sound like he was blaming the Haitian people or saying they deserved punishment, I can actually back up the truth of my statements with video of the quote (the interviewer starts talking to Glover about 45 seconds in):

[yt]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2ft5JkNWJA[/yt]

Now, while Glover's statement was silly and politicizing the disaster with an unrelated issue, at no time did he say or imply anything about the Haitian people deserving their fate.

If it was just going by the first paragraph I quoted above, all it was saying was that Caribbean island nations could be facing future disasters due to climate change. There's nothing wrong with that from a speculative standpoint, unless you are one of those people who think global warming (whatever the cause) doesn't exist.

It's the second paragraph that gets iffy, because he seems to be saying that the earthquake was a response to how the Copenhagen summit was mishandled, which is idiotic since a global warming conference failure or global warming itself didn't cause an earthquake. But nowhere does he blame the people of Haiti or say they deserve to get hit by the earthquake. If anyone is being blamed it's those of us from the first world who failed to agree on any significant steps to stop global warming at the Copenhagen summit.

No one has the faith we should have. No one is the same. I'm sure his daughter is stronger in some areas that you aren't. So you have no idea what was in her heart so unless you walk in someone else's shoes don't judge.:shifty:
