I don't hate anyone enough to bid on a voodoo doll of them, even if the money goes to a good cause. I would rather donate the money straight to the Red Cross (if I had that much money spare).

How is it hypocritical? It's a fundraiser, using Pat Robertson's status as a senile sack of crazy shit and a bit of humor (I know that that whole "sense of humor" thing is difficult for some people to grasp, but give it a try anyway, it's fun) to do something good. Lighten the fuck up for once.

Just so we're clear, I'm not defending what he said about Haiti. That was way out of line. It was mean-spirited and hateful. But so is this doll, IMHO.

Robertson essentially said the Haitian people earned this disaster. This individual is raising money for the victims at Robertson's expense. I won't shed any tears for his feelings, that's for sure.

This is a classic. The fact that they're using it to get money for the relief effort makes it even more fantastic.
But this is not two wrongs. It is also not mean-spirited. It is an attempt to accomplish something good out of a bad situation. It is an attempt to have one right thing balance out one wrong thing. Unfortunately, the wrong thing was huge and this little attempt to make some good out of it is too small. I think every penny raised by the 700 Club on the day Pat Robertson said that needs to be sent to the Red Cross. That is the only way to make a big enough right to undo the wrong. This little doll is too cute, where the situation is actually very, very grave.

Making a voodoo doll of someone and publicizing it sure is. Why not make one of Danny Glover? One says they deserved it because they offended God and the other says they deserved it because they offended the Earth.
The bidders could always simply donate their bids anyway. No need to sink to Pat and Danny's level.
