Paris and Torres?

I really liked that episode where Kes' life was being shown, and she got with Tom, they would have been cute, (especially as I never really bought the Neelix Kes thing). That being said, I only watched that episode recently after being used to Paris and Torres so it actually, seeing tom without her wasn't very pleasant.

Those of you interested in how B'Elanna wanted to get together with Harry and why she ultimately dropped the idea should read TALENT NIGHT from the DISTANT SHORES anthology - the best VOYAGER book ever written in my opinion.

:guffaw: The French capital, of course and this is the proof! :D

And to prove you wrong, look at this (I made it this morning ):

Been going through a rewatch of Voyager recently and my latest episode was Day of Honour.
When Belanna told Tom she loved him it felt so natural.
Their relationship was one of the best things about Voyager. It was never rushed or felt forced and it built up gradually over the years. When they finally got together it was perfectly believable.
As for that episode alone, I think it is one of Belanna's best. Roxann Dawson played her with such vulnerability it was beautiful to watch.

It's like Chakotay could have been with either B'Elanna or Janeway.. preferably Janeway. I think B'Elanna worked really well with Tom but Chakotay and Seven made me sad for Janeway. I would've liked them together.

In which case the relaunch books are your friends ...

I hope I'm not being too much of a purist but I kind of stick with the mainstream series. Like if the writers had gone the way of Tom and Kes, I think I would've accepted that. There was history to back it. Same for Janeway and Chakotay. Just didn't Seven and Chakotay had enough background. There was her holographic fantasy episode and then whoosh we find out last episode of this great love between a very spiritual man and dominating ex-drone. As gorgeous as she was, Seven and Chakotay were a little mismatched in my opinion. I would've even preferred her with the Doctor.

All true, plus Seven and Chak were stranded together on a planet only two episodes earlier and there wasn't a hint of romance between the two of them back then.

Which volume is this in? I think there are 10 or so. I just read a really great story in I think the 7th volume but I forgot what it's called. It's from the point of view of a little girl on an alien ship, her mother was the engineer and was killed...Voyager is helping the ship with some engineering issues and the girl becomes attached to B'Elanna who reminds her of her mother. It's very sweet.

I think you are thinking of Strange New Worlds. Distant Shores was one volume written by professionals.

Although it's not against the rules, I believe it is not really a good idea for someone in the top position to date someone else under your command or supervision.
