Paramount is buying into the idea of ZillionTV, offering up content and taking an equity stake in the young VOD company.
ZillionTV allows users to purchase or rent movies and TV shows for viewing on their TV screens. Its more unique offering, though, is allowing consumers to watch such content free if they agree to watch commercials
Nov 9, 2009,Paramount joins Warner Bros., Sony, NBC Universal, Fox, Disney and Lionsgate, which own a stake in Zillion and supply it with content.

there is no cost for the ZillionTV™ Device or motion-sensing Z-Remote.

I can't quite understand how Paramount puts themselves out to so many places for digital distribution of Trek feature films. With iTunes, XBOX Live marketplace, Sony Playstation Network, Amazon Video on Demand, Netflix on demand, etc. why would someone want another settop box for ZillionTV? New Blu-ray players with BD-Live 2.0 will do the same thing.
Paramount just put in money to
Epix TV which is a $10./month premium cable movie channel and subscription online movie service which started October 30.

It sounds like ZillionTV is just a VOD broadband Internet channel that is advertising sponsored (just like Hulu).
ZillionTV really for online feature films?
