Paramount loses more than a quarter of its value, analyst believes they should "just quit streaming"

Is Nickelodeon still a going concern? Because Prodigy was produced for Nick, then P+ more or less forced them to hand it over. So, even if Season 2 doesn't stream on P+, it still might show up on Nick.

For those who still have cable, Nick On Demand has had every episode of PROD available for quite some time now. They also have a habit of keeping around On Demand some shows that are no longer in production or were cancelled a few years ago. Your cable on demand systems may vary.

Did Nick ever air the second half of Season 1? I was looking at my Youtube TV on demand and they still only have up to Moral Star.

On Spectrum cable (or at least mine), the entire first season is available on NIck On Demand. It may differ on other cable systems or even other Spectrum outlets, depending on where you are.

On the bright side, this means more Voyager characters having a better chance of showing up on Legacy.

Was there a reason why Prodigy would prevent that from happening anyway? Maybe Legacy picks up on the search for chakotay subplot?

Supposedly that's why Janeway wasn't in PIC Season 3, despite being name-dropped at least twice. Not having her appear looked odd.

IMO, with a series where they'd have Captain Seven, it would be a real mistake to not have Admiral Janeway appear at least once.

One thing that always makes me wonder about the viewing numbers for some of the Paramount+ Trek shows is the view count for clips and related material on YouTube and likes on Instagram.

It's not exactly the best metric, but some of these Trek shows have view counts in the few thousands, likes in the hundreds, where other television series have much, much more audience engagement. The only Paramount+ show where those numbers were generally higher was Picard, and that was true for all 3 seasons.

And since Paramount is basically giving away the first season of Strange New Worlds (and the first episode of season 2) on YouTube, it makes me wonder about how many people are actually watching, given that you would think that if those numbers were high for the first season, you wouldn't need to do this sort of thing in order to draw in new viewers.

people should really stop talking about legacy like it's a done deal cause it's really not especially considering the current market and shooting in LA is very expensive
As far as I remember, Picard was shot in Los Angeles as a condition set by Patrick Stewart. I would assume that Legacy, if it happens, will be a Canadian production too.

So, let's see...

TOS - Cancelled
TAS - Ended (Saturday morning cartoons in the '70s normally had short runs)
TNG - Ended and went to Movies
DS9 - Ended
VOY - Ended
ENT - Cancelled
DSC - Cancelled
(though they did get a chance to shoot extra material to wrap the series up)
PIC - Ended
PRO - Cancelled

TOS Movies - Ended (TUC was going to be the end no matter what)
TNG Movies - Cancelled (NEM wouldn't have been the end had it been successful)
Kelvin Movies - Cancelled (How often has Star Trek 4 been scrapped or taken off the table now?)

6 endings
6 cancellations
