Paramount Bumps "Moscow" Behind Star Trek XII

Paramount is putting their reboot of the Jack Ryan series on hold, mainly due to issues getting a new writer to do re-writes. So it looks like they can begin filming Star Trek XII later this year without having to worry about scheduling issues with Chris Pine.

Really, it's a silly question, though. It's like asking "why do they think making a Bond movie with Craig will work any better than making another one with Roger Moore?"

Three actors in four movies. Pine would be the fourth actor. It's not as bad as Hulk, which re-casts with each film - three for three at this point.

Yeah, the Hulk probably holds the record, although the original Universal "Frankenstein" films recast the monster three times in nine movies. (Karloff, Chaney, Lugosi, Strange.)
