"Parallels" question: the "real" fate of the Argus Array

Nerys Ghemor

Vice Admiral
Admiral
During the episode "Parallels," we saw numerous possibilities as to why the Enterprise was visiting the Argus Array, what happened to it, and how other powers in the nearby area reacted to that.

Did we ever establish what happened in the "prime" universe? What was the "real" story of the Argus Array?

I don't think anything happened to the Argus Array in the "prime" reality. At least, we don't know if Prime Worf returned to his Enterprise from the tournament at the start of the episode. We only know he ended up on the right Enterprise at the end. So it's hard to say if the Argus Array was malfunctioning or being sabotaged in the prime reality.

Yup. Worf's first dimensional shifts happened at the birthday party. So there was never any mention of the Argus Array in the prime universe

^No. He was already in an alternate universe at the start, since there wasn't a birthday party in the "prime" universe. The first shift was while Worf was in the shuttlecraft on its way back to the Enterprise. But no, there was no mention of the Argus array.

Can someone remind me what the Argus Array has to do with this episode? It has been a very long time since I've seen it, and I clearly do not remember enough of it!

The mission of the Enterprise when Worf returns and is Reality Shifting is to investigate the Argus Array, near the Cardassian Border. It has gone offline. In some realities, it is due to mechanical failure, in others it is due to outside sabotage, or inevitably enemy weapons fire.
