Paradigm mutants?

Whofan

Fleet Captain
One thing we didn't quite see in VOTD was a look at what the Dalek mutant itself looked like. Anybody think we'll see a redesign of that as well? The design of the mutant inside has changed a bit here and there, from the reptile-like hand in The Daleks, to featureless blobs, to tentacled blobs and most recently the octopus-like creatures from the new series which sort of fit all the above. Of course there have been some questionable variants here and there...

One might assume the new Paradigm daleks are the same as the old ones (though they haven't managed perfect consistency even in the new series- The modeler of the CGI Dalek Sec missed the fact that the eye is offset, and part of a withered face where the other eye has scarred shut, and just smushed it into the center of a big mass of brain and tentacles). On the other hand, there is the fact that design made the eyepiece look organic instead of like a camera lens, and River says in "The Big Bang" that shooting a Dalek through the eye is an equivalent of a headshot to the mutant, and wouldn't just blind it as in the past. So, at the very least, it's riding higher in the case, and it may even have some kind of horrible long eye thing sticking coming out of it and snaking through the case into the eyepiece.

The graphic novel The Only Good Dalek has the mutants within the New Paradigm the same as the squid-like beings we saw inside the RTDaleks.

If it was "pure" Dalek DNA, why would it make them mutants?

Maybe those things are so big because there's a full grown Kaled inside.

Maybe they will be "sock monkey" Kaleds from the FASA Doctor Who RPG.
