You ever hear of Buridan's Ass? It was a thought experiment by 14th century philosopher Jean Buridan. You place a donkey between two bales of hay that are equal in every way. Eventually the donkey will stave because he cannot make a rational decision as to which bale to eat. I think if you put a plate of waffles, a plate of pancakes, and a plate of french toast in front of me and said I could only have one it might result in the same outcome.

I enjoy making waffles more (and I'm pretty awesome at it) while my pancakes aren't great. It really depends on the waffle or the pancake ... I just want whatever can soak up/hold more syrup. That's the only reason I eat them, anyway.

Swedish Pancakes
The batter I use, makes about 12-15 thin plate sized pancakes, or one really big oven pancake.

Made Swedish pancakes yesterday for dinner. They were very much appreciated by everyone except young master trampledamage. He's two and a half and at that stage where only one thing can have a particular name. So when he heard we were having pancakes, he was expecting the small American style ones. He was very annoyed to see something else!

I'd forgotten that this is how he thinks, if I'd realised early enough I would have said we were having Swedish circles or something!

Waffles have a better texture than pancakes do and you can fill each little pocket with syrup. They also have those nice orderly lines to show you where to cut them.
