She died of a broken heart?
Pull the other one, it's got bells on.
Padme sent word that she was going to fake her death, that never got to Anikan, and she didn't feel like living happily ever after with the tall sith stud, becuase in the light of a burning Jedi temple... Vader was soaked in murdered younling blood. Um. The youngling blood, from a dozen different species, was probably a rainbow of vibrant colours, so Anikan would have looked like a tie dyed hippy?
George is a hack who would have no trouble "borrowing" from the worlds most famous play, Romeo and Juliet, its just that Lucas ran out of time when he was connecting all the dots at the end. Quite a few dots were not connected as the final curtain fell on Revenge of the Sith.
So my real question is...
Did we ever see Bail Organa's wife and Padme in the same place at the same time, and they were not the same person?
Return of the Jedi should have been called Star Wars The Parent Trap, but Natalie was only 3 years old, and that would have looked odd.
