P/C: our thread is eternal

/\ Spammer. :p

Thank you :D.

Off topic, is it normal for 15 year olds to be so into politics in America, or are you an exception? I would have struggled to name 5 politicians during my childhood.

I'm probably an exception. In fact, definitely an exception. While others struggle to name 5 politicians, I struggle to name 5 rap "artists".

It makes for a small feeling of superiority. :D

 It's not normal for a teenager to be a P/Cer, either.

Well, when you watch TNG and you see episodes like Attached or The Big Goodbye...

The universe may or may not be infinite, but we have discovered the outer boundaries of P/C. That has to be worth a scientific paper or two ...

I accept your challenge! :)

Eminem
Vanilla Ice
Snoop Dog
Dr. Dre'
MC Hammer

Now, I ask: which is the only word in the English language to have 5 consecutive vowels in it?

G-Griz: Was Valeris even born yet when MC Hammer, Dr. Dre`, and Vanilla Ice were popular? Why don't you just say Kris Kross, Marky-Mark (sp?), or Will Smith when he was still the latter half of DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince?

[Now wants to hit her head on something to get things like the Marky-Mark theme, "2 Legit," "Vanilla Ice Ice Baby," and the song about big butts out of her head.]

---

Despiriately trying to get somewhat on topic here...since we're talking about bad rap, let's write bad P/C rap.

[from Bev's POV, to the big butts song] Look at his head. It is so bald... I love Jean-Luc and I cannot lie. My revealin' feelin's I deny...

...or...maybe not?

----

Oh no...I really hope this didn't just inspire my first fan video. I'm tempted to do one to "Can't Touch This" (non P/C).

Words with five consecutive vowels include cooeeing and queueing.

Bah, I thought that queueing was the only one! Perhaps I should apply to whoever compiles the dictionary to withdraw cooeeing from the list. :p

I don't have any video making programs on my computer, but I've thought in the past that it could be fun to try to make a music video using something beyond the ordinary. I'm reasonably certain that P/C rap is an as yet unexplored area ...

^Words with five consecutive vowels include QUEUEING, AIEEE, COOEEING, MIAOUED, ZAOUIA, JUSSIEUEAN, ZOOEAE, ZOAEAE.

They see me commandin, my starship. I know they're all thinking I'm so old and baldy.

Think I'm just too old and baldy
Think I'm just too old and baldy
Can't you see I'm old and baldy
Look at me I'm old and baldy

I wanna roll with, the docta
But so far she might think I'm too
Old and Baldy

Think I'm just too old and baldy
Think I'm just too old and baldy
I'm just too old and baldy
Really, really old and baldy

Ah! Love it! 'old and baldy'! :-D

I'm a teenage P/Cer too...which is why I don't read most of the stuff in this thread, or the fanfic...*shrug*
*goes off to make more P/C art*

Welcome to the board, Wonderfulpolous. Always good to encounter a potential new source of P/C topics!

Your next challenge is to use all of these in one sentence!

He might have an easier time if they were all real words. (I'm assuming that was GoldGrizzly's point.)

I skim threads, so I didn't notice that list until it was quoted. I only recognised two of them, so I tried to look them up. They weren't in the dictionary. I'm going to go try dictionary.com, Google, and Wikipaedia, incase they're technical terms or slang. I'll report back if I do find anything.

"Queueing" is, of course, a real word that we all know (and have to do from time to time). Some Cajuns scream, "Aieee!" Thus, I might accept that as a slang term. As for the others, the closest I found to any of them was "zoeae," without an "a" between the "o" and the first "e." "Zoeae" is the plural of "zoea," and refers to the free-swimming larvae of certain crabs.

To quote CSI in reguards to the rest, "Cite your source."

I think I'll paraphrase someone who would bring that back on topic a little. The first duty of anyone who wants to look smarter than their friends is to the truth, whether it is a personal truth, the scientific truth, the historical truth, or the truth according to the dictionary.

If you weren't trying to B.S. us, then I apologise. However, please remember, we are not your teachers and we are not going to be impressed or fooled, just because you're smarter than your peers. You got it, Wes? ;) :p

---

I did find one more, "cooeeing," which means to call "cooee!" It was appearently started by Australian Aborigines.

I just found some more, just not from credible sources. In fact, I found the list he copied this from. Look at the second sentence of the fifth paragraph. He plagerized the entire sentence. I do apologise for accusing you of making them up, but the lecturette* stands. At least paraphrase in the future. ;)

*=I made that word up, and I'm not trying to pretend I didn't.

-----

After queueing for hours, the angry Islamic Cajun miaoued and began cooeeing, instead of shouting his usual "aieee," because his zaouia from his Jussieuean Classification course had sold him zooeae, also called "zoaeae" or "zoeae," instead of crawfish.

^Unfortunately, I now concider myself an overly-analytical a--. I should have left him alone. There was no point to that. I have no idea what possessed me to do that. Thanks for not busting me for spamming.

I guess you can take the girl out of the journalism and English classes, but...

[ :roll eyes: and  @ self ]

^The strongest thing I have in my possession is an air riffle, left over from wanting to practice at home when I was on air riffle team in high school. I was actually pretty natural with that stuff, but it doesn't have sights on it right now, and I haven't shot it in at least five years. I don't have anything that's actually dangerous...so far. ;)

Picard and Crusher, however, pack a mean phaser. (I really am trying to mention them in most of my posts as they are supposed to be the topic here.)

So, is anyone around here working on any new P/C fan fic?

air riffle

So is that like a very tiny air rifle?

*ducks and runs*

....

As for p/c fic, I have a small idea in mind. There was a new one posted recently on the p/c archive. And ASC has a new p/c writer on the block.

:guffaw: You know...if I had only read that aloud... "Air riffle," rhymes with "wiffle [sp?]." (Did anyone else play wiffle ball when they were little? Even kids could hit it so far.)

Cool about there being a new fic writer. Remind me what ASC is again. I always forget.
