P/C: our thread is eternal

Valeris I don't have a gift for you, but will you accept this? It's a page I threw together really quickly of some of the Cath Willows "fan art" I did while I was posting on CSI Files, before I came over to the TrekBBS. (I put "fan art" in quotation marks because in most cases I wasn't trying to do anything particularly artistic.)

Oh wow. It's awesome! I love it! Oooh...Warrick/Cath... ;)

Now...I should say something P/C since I'm in the thread.

I think the end of the P/C threads is as likely as them finally getting together. Agree or disagree.

Agree. There's always going to be a P/C thread.

Although they're together in Death in Winter... ;)

Example: If they ever got married and they were on a ship bound for Risa or somewhere and the antigrav unit failed, do you think they'd go ahead and have HOT... mid-air?

Of course they would! To paraphrase (naughtily) mc's sig: "Oh Jean-Luc. It's there! It's there! It's there! It's THERE!!" :D :o
 I had to log in for that one! On a different note, I was going to buy "Death in Winter" this summer but then I went back to the store after I actually got payed and it wasn't there anymore. So, I'm going to on a quest to find it soon.

We have fun in the P/C thread, that's for sure.

Re: Death in Winter. That's odd. Most bookstores have a lot of copies. Unless it had just came out and all the Star Trek and P/C (and P and C) fans snatched them all up.

It's a fairly good book. However!

It's not all that much a P/C book, despite the way it was hyped. There is definitely some P/C, but it is not *the* P/C book. Most of it is remembrances by Picard about Beverly, or Beverly escaping from her Romulan captor. Oh, that's another thing. It's mostly about the Romulans, and the politics during the period of time the book takes place. It's shortly after Nemesis, so...yeah. It's still a good book, just not the P/C end-all. BUT! There is a really good P/C scene at the end of the book, and the teaser for Resistance is sooooooo awesome. If you've read this, cheers! If not, please pay $5

Yah, we do seem to have bunches of fun. :)
No, it wasn't after it just came out. At least I don't think so. I couldn't tell you, I jut began to watch TNG regurally this summer. But it was there when I went in July with my cousin. I had been watching TNG and reading some PC fanfiction for about a month at that point and I got all giddy in a Borders and my cousin thought I was weird for getting so crazy over a non-HP book and a ST book at that. But when I went back in August after returning home from Illinois, it wasn't there! I was dissapointed. As for the spoiler *SHH* I don't wanna know. Jk, I read it. But for the heck of it, here's $5 anyways. :)

I'd contend that the teaser for Resistance had more P/C than the entirety of Death in Winter. Also, the Romulan subplot was actually a literary foil for the P/C goings-on.

Woohoo! Moneymoneymoneymoney...

Death in Winter is one of those books that you'll either really like or not really like. I don't think it's possible to hate it, but YMMV.

I'd agree with that statement.

Also-

IF you want a really good P/C story, read fanfic. Especially mackillian's Snow Falling Softky, or any of Naraht's work.

Speaking of Naraht, I miss her. The P/C thread isn't the same without her.

Geez, that was my last 5 and my boss aint payin! Oh, well, money well spent. I read SFS and loved it. Neglected my homework completely that weekend but where would I find Naraht's work? Fan fiction is the only thing that keeps me going sometimes.

^
:D To heck with the homework:
"Brittaney, where is your report?"
"Umm. I can explain, Sir. You see... Picard and Crusher *need* to be together. But Ghana, it just so boring. What would YOU rather do? Its political history can be summed up with coup, coup, coup, civil war, coup, democracy."
"But that still doesn't..."
"Dude, would you rather read some HOT *cough* or about the HOT WEATHER in Ghana?"
"I..."
"Exactly"
Thanks for lookin: :)

^Thanks mackillian!

My links for all of them got deleted.

EDIT: Why is it called BONC?

EDIT 2: OMG mackillian! Yours and rosyrock's smut is...

Valeris BevONJean-luc They've been around forever (as far as websites go) and they scare even me in their P/C obsession...or at least they did 5 or 10 years ago.

Indeed. I enjoyed our early threads.

Perhaps there is an axe-murderer amongst us after all?

I feel a little stupid now. I'd always seen BONC, but I never knew what it meant. Thanks! :)

I think the axe murderer is a entity named...Thesis.

This thread kinda lacks the cohesiveness and thoughtfulness of the earlier ones.
