P/C: our thread is eternal

I don't think P/C would have happened. Picard married a career, and can't make room for chicks.

I don't agree. As shown with Vash, he can make room, he just doesn't know what to do once he does, and expects 'em to stay in that room, not expand into the rest of his life.

What? Since when was Starfleet a celibate priesthood?

In the books, Picard isn't a priest.

However, I must say I don't like the direction of the books (the deaths of some characters, the fates of others, etc.) I gave up about two years ago. All apologies to the authors on the blog, it's my bad taste coming through again.

But I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Pike and McCoy books of 2-4 years ago were first rate, IMHO. :techman:

^ And yet, between the heading and the fifty pages that followed it, you still found yourself left none the wiser.

Political correctness prevents me from saying what I'd like to at this point.

No, I wouldn't be talking about how funny it was that I was wrong if I thought I was right.

Jeez...the last time I was here was May 19th, 2008! Time flies for sure.

I think one of the redeeming features of the books is the fact that Picard and Beverly FINALLY get together. But even in the books it takes a while.

Sheesh.

It's almost worth the wait.

There's hints of their relationship in the A Time to... series (that's where Bev bangs the younger doctor), before leading up to Death in Winter, where they do get together, then it carries on through Resistance, Q&A, Before Dishonor (blech), and Greater Than The Sum (where we discover something special). Then the Destiny trilogy occurs, followed by Losing The Peace, and then Paths of Disharmony, where they're living together and ba....

Oooh, I need to read the last two! I didn't know which one to start with the A Time to... series? Which one is the first? I've read all the rest of the books you listed.

Sweeet, thanks much. I own the one that has Dr. Crusher's pic on the front. I bought it forever ago.

Me too! Actually, the fact that her picture was on it was the main reason I got it.

Same here! :D

I tried to remember what that "something special" was, but then I remember I didn't read Greater Than The Sum and just went right on to the Destiny Trilogy, but I already knew what it was before because I can't help myself when it comes to reading spoilers. tee hee.
