Out Of Body Experience

I have one everytime I eat chocolate.
The very first time I had suffered from sleep paralysis, which was back in April 2001 following returning from a long-haul flight from New Zealand, it almost felt as if I had actually left my body and could see my half-naked form slumped on the bed, for about 20 seconds. I then of course came out of it, but I felt like a Changed Person™. 
I've had sleep paralysis many times since, but never the same intense experience as this one.

I think it's purely either imagination or self-delusion. I've heard that tests have been conducted and were not able to detect any kind of unusual energy readings around a body where the person has been able to "astral project" at will.
Now, if someone were to conduct an experiment where the only way a person could learn of a particular piece of information would be by astral projecting inside a locked room to get it, that would be a different story. However, I've never heard of this having been done.

So how do you explain the results of the tests where a piece of paper with a word written on it was placed on the top of a shelf and was not at any time seen by the person who could leave their body and after they woke back up after having an OOBE they told the testers exactly what the word said on the paper?
That's the thing, isn't it. I do have a friend who remotely viewed a painting another person was working on, and then told her what she'd painted over the phone.
This is extremely rare, and almost impossible to repeat. But I think it has to count as evidence that a component of consciousness is able to move about in some kind of quantum way.
^ Wow. Interesting. I've been meaning to buy a book written by a former CIA remote viewer, who claims to have remotely viewed Mars for them, along with dozens of others in their employ. Spooky but fascinating stuff.
Often, those types of tests are not conducted in a controlled environment. I would only accept the results if it was conducted in a scientifically controlled environment by a reputable scientific firm.

Well I don't where you've got your information from but they ARE conducted in a controlled environment and ARE with real scientist and a real firm. Besides that I'm talking from personal experience. I've left my body a number of times on a night and it's been on purpose. It took months of practice and I'd read numerous books and websites on the subject but eventually I was successful. I assure you when it happens it's as real as being awake yet you can fly about, turn to look at yourself laying in bed and pass through any object such as a wall, it's a weird experience but a fantastic one.
I don't believe in life after death but I know for certain that people are capable of leaving their body in some way or at least using some kind of 6th sense capable of travelling anywhere at will which allows them to travel to anywhere they choose.
The way to achieve it is the enter into a type of meditation when you're laying in bed, you have to ensure that your body falls asleep as usual but you remain conscious of it. So basically you relax your body and concentrate on relaxing your body until it falls asleep, if you've remained conscious enough you basically feel your body going numb until you can't feel it any more, at this point you start to hear vibrations and a sort of static electricity sound and then finally you hear a pop and the sounds stop (i'm not kidding here), once you hear the pop sound you're basically capable of just floating away from your body and leaving it to go travel wherever you want, you travel about basically by just thinking of where you want to go or what you want to do.
People will probably think this is all a vivid dream but I assure you I know the difference between this and a vivid dream. Vivid dreams no matter how vivid are never like the waking world but OOBE's are exactly like being awake and when you return to your body and your body wakes up you KNOW it wasn't a dream.
