I gather it was being held for Shatner, until it became apparent negotiations for a guest appearance weren't working out. Supposedly he'd have been an ancestor of Kirk and a proposed Season 4/5 script was to have revisited the TCW. One of Daniel's missions involved him being taken to the 23rd Century to double for the real Kirk.

The other option for Shatner on Enterprise involved Mirror Kirk becoming involved in the creation of the Terran Empire.

What about the Rock? Given how well versed in WWE the Voyager crowd was who actually had him for a wasted episode... His catch phrase as a wrestler was ... "DO YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING?"

I'm sure that could have been modified.

I guess I'm the only one who pictured Chef looking like Julian Sands during his "Warlock" years. But he did kinda sound like Lenny.

But then I never really thought of Chef as the go-to guy for heart-to-heart talks with the crew, since he was, y'know, never around. Imagine my surprise.
