OT: Unreality SF Story of the Year Poll 2009/2010

Bump. ;)

There's still time to vote, so if you haven't done so yet hop over to Unreality SF and vote for your favorite.

And to make sure this post actually has content:

Update, March 11th: We're half-way through the week, so it's probably time we made some irritatingly cagey remarks on the progress of the vote so far. Torchwood, Supernatural, and Being Human have the might of LiveJournal behind them, and are therefore doing INSANELY WELL, but a Star Trek book is currently in the lead. There you go. How exciting.

While we're here, we'd like to thank the million-and-one people who emailed us and pointed out that we can't spell "submit". We loev you all very mcuh.

(And to everyone who's emailed to complain about The Final Chapter being on the shortlist: don't blame us, you lot nominated it! Anyway, we said from the start that the poll is for "stories", not "novels" or "fiction" or whatever, and that non-fiction was eligible as long as it told a story. Yes, it's a behind-the-scenes book. Yes, it's just two blokes emailing each other. But go on, read The Final Chapter and then tell us it's not a proper narrative. Pssh.)
P.S.: I know it's two days old, but my internet connectivity was bumpy for the last week or so, before my router finally died today and had to be replaced, so I'm a bit behind with stuff like this :alienblush:

Easy choice for me: "The Never Ending Sacrifice." One of the best books I've read in a long while. Totally blown away. When is the last time a Star Trek book made you cry? :)

Unfortunately I haven't read Precipice (its on my short-stack of books to read next). I love the Vanguard novels, so that's not a slight. I just haven't made it there yet. It would have to be pretty good to top Never Ending Sacrifice.

Sweet, the winner certainly deserved it. Congrats! I honestly will admit that I can't remember which I voted for in the end, but I know it was one of my picks for the first round.

Yeah. I voted for Precipice, but there's no denying that win is genuine and well deserved. Congrats.

Thank you, folks, for all your kind comments.

And congrats to Keith and Dayton on their nominations for the Scribe Awards!
