OT: THE LAST WORLD WAR by DAYTON WARD Reviewed

It's finally out?

Cool..I'll have to hit the bookstore this week. I've been waiting for it to appear.

I just placed my order with a local bookstore — they said their warehouse isn't showing it in stock yet, though. I hope that doesn't last long, 'cause I'm itching to dig into Dayton's latest literary accomplishment.

Gatekeeper

I fronted (turned them so the front cover, rather than the spine showed) the three copies left at my local B&N in the center of the top shelf. Had to move some stuff by a guy named Weber to do it. (Three are left because I bought #4).

The price is at € 7.83 at the moment.

Well, I buzzed through it today (helped mitigate the aggravation of waiting in the dentist's office and then in his chair for the novacaine to take effect! :D)

Great book! My only whine is that at the end, I was wanting more.

Seems to me like the book leaves things open for a sequel.

Agree completely, Bonz.
Would love a sequel.

Per fronting:
I bought my copy at a store where everything's fronted--if y'all can believe it!

AU

Okay, two days ago there were four copies at my local B&N. I bought one and fronted the other three. Tonight there was only one copy (still fronted).

Dayton! Send another dozen to Wilmington!

(Or isn't that how this stuff works?)

You and me both. It's up to people and their wallets now, though. :)

Thanks to everyone who's commented on the book, either here or via e-Mail. Glad to hear you're digging it!

I'd love to see a sequel. I hope it sells well enough for there to be one. It's almost like reading a sci-fi novel by Tom Clancy.

I like the female Marine who is a sci-fi fan. I expected a character like that. Very cool. I hate when people in movies that are totally unfamiliar with sci-fi, fantasy or horror have no clue what is going on.

Marines dreaming of a writing career and dreaming of better payment in the industry. Do I sense an autobiographical touch here?
Then where are your romance and erotica novels? ;)
