OT: Ray Bradbury dies, aged 91

A quick glance at the Trek Encyclopedia reveals that the U.S.S. Bradbury appeared in "Menage a Troi."

I figured that Trek had long ago paid tribute to Ray.

R.I.P., Ray Bradbury--one of the central, quintessential, and all-time great artists, contributors, and innovators of modern science fiction. His name truly deserves to be always spoken alongside Isaac Asimov, Phillip K. Dick, and Arthur C. Clarke.

Here's to you, great creator. May your works be forever counted among the classics of great literature.

I'm sad he is gone. I really loved Fahrenheit 451 and I look forward to reading more of his work. He was an amazing man. What a body of work he leaves behind.

I got to meet Ray at a convention (Archon) in St. Louis in the late '90s. Talked to him a bit, shook his hand, got his autograph in my copy of "R is for Rocket".

Guests at that Con were Ray Bradbury, Forrest J. (Uncle Forry) Ackerman, Ray Harryhausen, and Julius Schwartz.

My wife to this day swears I was so high on Cloud 9, my feet did not touch the ground the entire weekend.
