OT: Greg Cox writing Man of Steel Novelization

Metropolis consists of Chicago and Vancouver exteriors I believe, mostly Chicago. I wouldn't be surprised if Snyder goes for a "timeless" look for the city.

Certainly, there are buildings from both real-world cities that wouldn't look out of place in Metropolis.

We do need some serious information. BRING ME COX. I'll hold him ya'll tickle him until we tells us how Superman grows a beard and what kind of kryptonian razor can shave him clean.

Congratulations, Greg! Sounds like a great gig. I won't ask if you work only from a script or if you get to see the film.

Where are you getting that? If you're going from the "Synopsis" page there, you seem to be extrapolating that from a single word, "is," which in context seems to be a typo for "was" (since the sentence starts out saying "years ago").
As a president once said "It depends what the meaning of the word 'is' is."

...and what kind of kryptonian razor can shave him clean.

John Byrne explained that 26 years ago in Superman: The Man of Steel #4. Here are the relevant panels, though unfortunately I couldn't find them in a larger size than this:

I was halfway through Smallville on DVD when this question occurred to me. I googled and found this explanation, but reflected eye-beams seems way too conveluted IMO.

A little later, I saw Hancock lather up his face and rake down it with his fingernails to shave, I thought, "That's it!" - a far simpler solution.

But then... how do they do their nails??
