Original TLZ question...

Looking for some help.........

I seem to recall an episode of the original Twilight Zone where an old-fashioned reel to reel type spool of tape is moving on it's own.

Across the floor, under the door---something to that effect.

Does anybody remember this or something simliar?

If anybody can come up with the episode I'd be grateful.

I haven't seen the ep in a while, but it must be from A Thing About Machines...

Sort of sounds familiar but I'm not sure I can place the episode (or if it was Outer Limits rather than Twilight Zone).

Some possible candidates might be "A Thing About Machines" or "A World of His Own".

I remember a short film in the early 80s being shown on, I believe HBO which had a moving reel of film (using stop motion) chasing a guy through a theater until ultimately it consumed him. I was very young when I saw it and it stayed with me for quite a while.

I also thoguht of 'A Thing About Machines', but after rewatching it, it was an electric razor chasing a guy.

It's a strong possibility that is what I was thinking of.
Perhaps I did see that HBO thing as well and confused them.
