I have what appears to be scripts from the Original Series. Whether they are 'ORIGINAL' or copies, they are Old.

Journey To Babel was one of them. I can attest that they are from the correct vintage of paper, font.

Anyone venture to guess how much they are worth, or at least letting me know how to really tell??
thanks

look for similar items on ebay - you may not get an actual real world value but it could give you an idea what people will pay for them. That said I'd say they're nearly priceless!

I am a long time poster and collector of star trek memoribilia. You can check some of my items at ncc1701.us

The value of the 'script' depends on its authenticity. There are copies of originals that sell for about $10 on ebay. But an original, authentic, script could go for the $1-2000 range, depending on condition and provenance.

Easiest way to tell: most authentic scripts have multiple colored pages (that's how they tracked changes). If yours is all one color, its likely a copy.

Please post a scan or two.

Back in the late 60's, Lincoln Enterprises (run by Gene Roddenberry and Majel Barrett) started selling script replicas. As far as I could tell, these were the final version of the shooting scripts, but with all interior pages printed on white paper. They had heavy baby-blue paper for the covers. As I recall, they were punched for a three-ring binder but held together with two-pronged brads. I have no idea how long this version was available.

About ten years ago, I discovered that at some point Lincoln Enterprises had morphed into Roddenberry.com (run by Gene & Majel's son, Eugene Wesley "Rod" Roddenberry), and was selling what I take to be the same thing, but with yellow covers. It seems that these are no longer available, though Roddenberry.com is selling Star Trek movie scripts.

So if your scripts are replicas (i.e., with all-white interior pages), the color of the covers should tell you roughly how old they are.

This is a good example of why we don't resurrect long-dead threads.

The OP hasn't posted since 2010!
