forgot about 0718. i'm a fan of the makeup, love the inclusion of cybernetic humans in the kelvin timeline (if that's what he is, don't tell me his backstory in the comics, they don't count).

there's another dude in beyond with the same implant in the back of his head, just didn't make the final cut.

i wish both darwin and 0718 had made it to star trek beyond.

How disappointing — not even one little attack.

Seriously, why does anyone do this? Why do it in this forum? (Unless one is fishing for an injudicious response, in which case I'm required to point out that we generally discourage that sort of thing here. )

I know I'm going to get attacked for this, but I don't think there were any good new characters. They did well with some of the recast originals, such as McCoy, Spock, Uhura, Chekov, Amanda, Sarek, and Pike.

They could have had a great NEW character if they hadn't made Cumberbatch be Khan, but instead had him really be the character they originally said he was going to be. (I don't remember the name.)

F-you, you're right of course.

before i went with nero, i almost said pike because really he's not the same character from TOS, but an argument could be made for none of them really being the same character (particularly uhura and sulu) but yeah.

Of all the characters who were created solely for the alternate reality movies, who's your favorite?

It occurs to me that of all of the "good guy" new characters, two of the best are linked with Scotty - Keenser and Jaylah. (Gaila and Jaylah rhyme.)
