One thing I like about the HF/Intrepid people...they aren't afraid to take the saga into dangerous territory.

The ending...Oh, lordy...
:techman:

Overall, excellent production, sharp characterizations, juggling of plotlines...I may have to rank Shelby and Hunter's dual teethbrush bit as my favorite Trek scene in a long time.

Looking forward to Federation One.

Upon further reflection, I'm not sure the Nostrum storyline really added anything to the movie. It's mainly there as setup for something else....presumably the Helena Chronicles finale.

Which is fine, but it feels a bit out-of-place since most of the rest of the film is reasonably standalone.

^ That was something I had some trouble with. I think it may have skewed my decisions a bit.

Yeah, that was my only major problem with the film. OBS was mostly a stand-alone that was also a "backdoor pilot" for Federation One so that particular storyline seemed extraneous and out-of-place. Nevertheless, I loved the character interactions in this movie and the guest characters were well cast.

Also, the CGI set background get better and better with each new production. Jennifer Cole did a marvelous job at giving us more than one angle in scenes and nicely framed her shots. You guys have certainly come a long way from the early days of HF where most of the shots were very static.

Oh, and I can't get enough of the Intrepid crew. They have a spunk to them and it carries in all of the actors performances. It's almost as if they were characters created by Joss Whedon and plopped into a Trek series.

So far Odyssey has been my favorite of the HF productions but I look forward to Federation One.

Hey folks, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took the time to watch, and post their thoughts. Even those who didn't like it. Feedback is always appreciated. :)

Oh and Middy, I'm a big Joss Whedon fan. Take of that what you will. :)

I havent't had a chance to watch it yet, so there will be some more feedback to come.

I finished viewing Operation Beta Shield the other day and will post my review later this evening / this week. Overall however, I was muchly impressed.

Overall something about this felt a bit average to me after all the hype and buildup. I'll post a more in depth review later.

Just three letters sum this up for me: W, O and another consonant please Carol. W.

I agree with the above posters, excellent direction, CGI, loved the Shelby/Hunter scenes, I actually quite enjoyed the various tie-ins to Helena Chronicles and Odyssey.

Great to still see the HF cast playing a part in things again :)

I'm looking forward to all the upcoming productions. Hope you do another collaboration soon ;)

Agreed. What I like about the Hidden Frontier Franchise (QED) is that each entry is part of a greater tapestry of stories, all interconnected and affecting each other in subtle ways. I feel a little like I'm watching "Heroes", with several mostly independent stories being advanced in each successive episode regardless of which series I'm watching. Well done!
