Oooii and the Bridge Displays (Cinefex)

Today I bought a copy of the latest Cinefex, which features an article about the making of Star Trek. The article mentions that

Oooii supplied 60 screen displays for the production, including an animating interface that wrapped around the Enterprise bridge. "Scott Chambliss wanted a seamless interactive display that went all the way around the set. We.... ended up using a tile of Orion LCD screens." Chambliss configured the set designs to accommodate the LCD screens.... "The goal was to create windows into a virtual workspace rather than rendering traditional interfaces," noted Demaine. "That way, the content could appear to interact and travel dynamically across all the display surfaces."

I've only watched Star Trek once so far, but I didn't notice this wraparound display. Did anyone else notice this?

Here's something from Ooo-ii's own site which talks about it. I think it's also visible in one or two of the TV spots or promo clips.

Edit:

Go here. Scroll down to the seventh clip (should be the last one, marked "CLIP: Answer Me") and play it. The camera makes a quick pan from the turbolift around to where Spock is standing, and for most of the rest of the clip, you'll be able to see the bridge displays in action in the background.

Edit, again:

Here can be found excerpts from an interview with the company's founder which includes more stuff to watch. Full interview here.

I'm sure there's plenty more out there, too. That's just from memory of the clip and from keying "oooii" into Google and skimming the first few hits.

That scene is so powerful, I've never noticed anything but the speakers before. So that is cool to see the displays working; thanks. I just know somebody is going to want that for his or her living room. ;)

How in the world did you manage to miss the giant blue display that wraps all around the bridge? ;) (Look above Kirk in this shot - it continues past the turbolift and can be seen on the other side of Spock)
