Only Murders in The Building

I agree. I enjoyed this season and, if I'm honest, I'm not sure any of the reveals have been that amazing/shocking over the years. There are infinitely better plotted murder mysteries out there, but I don't watch Only Murders for the plot so much as the characters.
Indeed. These characters, even the awful ones, are such a joy to watch!

I'll leave complex murder mysteries in the hands of Rian Johnson, both in film and television form (yeah, those are bit ridiculous, too, but I still love them!).

Interesting. Other than Jan's appearance at the end being a bit too much of a deux ex machina for me
Perhaps, but I still loved it. And not just because I predicted it.

I think those still need resolving and were perhaps something of a red herring for this season
That was my read, too. But I like that this season reminded us that those mysteries have been resolved. Both acknowledges that they're still up in the air and helps keep them fresh in our minds for when they're ready to be revealed.

So I just finished the season. For some reason I thought it was the final season but they had another murder. I thought it was a good season overall, I like that they just decided to make fun of themselves for the whole season.

Did they ever actually answer who killed the dog and left the note on Jan's door? They called it out as a plot hole and then it ended up having nothing to do with the murder.

It might be my second favorite season after the first.

The Pitt is trying to do the same thing. Slow Horses does it. Of course, they keep getting renewed for another season before they've even started the season they're on.

To be fair, Slow Horses hues pretty closely to the novels it's based on.

The season is off to a great start! I loved all three episodes but the second episode is my favorite.

I'm a sucker for flashback episodes! It was both wonderful and heartbreaking to see Lester's Arcadia origin story, complete with Tony Plana as his mentor. He just wanted to be an actor and being doorman was suppose to be temporary. This wasn't suppose to last (boy, does that hit me close to home...).

I had a lot of fun seeing all of the Arcadia denizens throughout the years, including the return of Bunny and Sazz! Plus young Mabel (with The Hardy Boys in tow!) and even a brief appearance of young Theo, along with plenty of other nods to the Arcadia's illustrious history.

But above else, I love that the Arcadia still has more secrets and hidden passageways tucked away. Is it all a little absurd? Yes, but that's why I love it. Give me more.

I find this a show with so much potential but every year it feels like they have two episodes of content, then piss around for most of the season, then end with an episode of content.

But there is something quite watchable about it. So I suspect I will.

Just one slight misstep with the first episode, did anyone else find Charles a little creepy fawning over mob wife? Not just his usual awkwardness around women he liked, he looked up up down like a piece of meat!

Or was I imagining it?

Seen all three episodes now they were fun, the second episode featuring Lester was sweet if more than a little melancholy.

It's preposterous but I do love the casino in the basement!
