Online stores of internet's past.

I was doing some cleaning today and found a bag full of all these receipts I had from purchases made on the internet from several years ago. I guess the end of the 20th century/beginning of the 21st century is when I really took notice of online stores and I must've bought a ton of crap. Bought lots of media from these stores, due mainly to places like Tower and Suncoast being the nearest sources of DVDs back then and I didn't realize just how overpriced they were (are still are!).

In fact, a lot of these stores I bought from don't even exist anymore.

Anyone remember:

800.com
macwarehouse.com
outpost.com (free overnight shipping!!!!!)
cdnow.com
twec.com
orderbox.com
thegoodguys.com
reel.com (back when they still sold stuff)
familywonder.com (different store than what it is now)
moviegallery.com (back when they still sold stuff)

I think orderbox was a store where you had to download a program or a toolbar or something like that in order to use it to buy stuff from them.

I bought a lot of stuff from 800.com. But I can't remember what exactly it was.

There was one site I wish I could remember that had just opened up and their prices were extremely low and everyone on the internet was freaking out over those low prices and if everything was legit or not. And I placed an order for a bunch of DVDs and got them all for the sales price. And I think the store went under pretty quickly.

Forgot about some of those. I use to love cdnow.com back in the day before itunes and widespread music availability online. They had a lot of music that was hard to find.

I bought my first DVR from 800.com. It was built into a TV, seemed like it weighed 300 pounds. Fucker never did work right.

There used to be a site called FartCD.com, which sold -- you guessed it -- CDs of people farting.

This was about 10 years ago as I recall. I guess even then they still didn't understand. Silly e-Rabbits -- Internet is for porn.

I used to order from CDNow all the time. They always had CDs for like 10.99, 11.99 when they were a few more bucks in stores. This was way back in 98/99 though.
