DISQUALIFICATION!!! 1 WORD ONLY!A high horse is coming in starting a thread when there are six million opinion threads about the same damn thing. Oh but yours is different because we have to come up with one word. Excuse me Mr. Freud for thinking that especially when you blatantly started the thread in a derogatory manor to begin with. Then someone states their opinion using a little sarcasm and you have to come off like a school teacher. I'm 35 years old and I'm a very successful KJ/DJ. I pointed out that I feel a message board falls under conversational proclivities and isn't something that needs to be treated by ANYBODY, not just me, as a type of writing format that will win ANYONE, not just me a Pulitzer for anyone's stunning op/ed piece on why Kirk exited the turbolift on deck 43 when engineering is clearly on deck 19....Hmmmm... this sounds like the argument of a fifteen year-old.
So let me get this straight: You have the unmitigated gall to attack this thread (and in effect, attack me) using sarcasm and when I do the same to you, you suggest that we're not worthy of your consideration of something as basic as proofreading?
Here's what I suggest: when you're acting like an ass to begin with, why not mitigate that perception by at least bothering to use a browser-based spell-checker? They're free and readily available.
Your initial post implies that you think that you're better than the rest of us and your subsequent post simply confirms that implication. We're not worthy of the simple effort on your part to attempt to string together a sentence coherently? What the Hell is that?
When you don't bother to check even one sentence it shows not just a disrespect for others on the board, it also puts into question your abilities, and dare I say it, your intelligence (and I'm not referring to you specifically, I'm referring to posters in general).
My comment to you was meant to jokingly knock you off your high horse (hence, the emoticon and the comment in parentheses) as you made it very clear that you think that you're above this whole discussion and anyone involved in it and you just had to share that with everyone.
But that, apparently, wasn't enough. You couldn't leave it at that. You'd rather get into a pissing match with me instead of just laughing it off and saying, "Touché, you got me with that one!"
Seriously, you need to get over yourself, and if a BBS in your world is akin to social interaction with other human beings, you need get out of the house more.

My browser the latest version of Firefox lets me know when I spelled shit wrong with a little red line, but seeing as I'm typing this as a lesuire activity and not trying to make a living off it I'm a little looser with my spelling. Shunn me for it if you want, it doesn't make me look like an ass it only makes you look worse because correcting someone is a cheap shot. OOH I made a sarcastic comment in your thread so you're going to come off as an ass hat. I said the thread was unnecessary(Spelled correctly this time) Because frankly it is, it's just stirring pots. We have a do you like the Enterprise thread, We have the picture thread both of which do the job of this thread, alot better. Also I never asked you to like me anyway.
As for me thinking I'm above anyone else in this discussion if that were true I wouldn't engage in the intelligent debates I have in other threads in this board with other users. This thread limits the thoughts to one word and stiffles debate I don't see it's purpose. Having said that, I do feel the need to use proper English when I post. It does present your argument better, IMO.
