All through Trek, there have been one time guest that have either gone on to bigger things or did a Trek episode anyway, a few come to mind...

1) Joan Collins: Edith Keeler in TOS "City of the edge of Forever"

2) Kelsey Grammer: Capt Baitson in TNG "Cause and Effect"

3) Virginia Madson: Kellin in Voyager "Unforgettable"

5) Iggy Pop: Yelgrun a Vorta in DS-9 "The Magnificent Ferengi"

6) Mick Fleetwood: Antedian Dignitary in TNG "Manhunt"

7) Andy Dick: EMH on Federation Starship Prometheus on Voy "Message in
A Bottle"

8) Terri Garr: Roberta Lincoln in TOS "Assigment Earth"

9) Stephen Hawking: Played himself in TNG "Descent" Pt 1

10) Julie Newmar: Played Eleen in TOS "Fridays Child"

There are probably more, if you can think of any others I would love to hear about them...

Resistance is Futile

Just found another guest star...

"Danger Will Robinson", does that ring a bell in your memory. Just finished watching DS-9 "The Siege of AR-558" and Billy Mumy who was Will Robinson was in that episode, he played the part of Kellin an Engineer...

Resistance is Futile

Nikki Cox was in an episode of TNG wasn't she? "Pen Pals" if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure if you'd say she'd gone on to bigger things... Ummm, innuendo notwithstanding. :shifty:

Steven Berkoff and Lawrence Tierney were well respected names when they appeared in DS9's "Business as Usual". (Though, I'm not at all keen on Berkoff's performance...)

James Cromwell appeared in TNG before Babe and First Contact. He appeared a couple of times actually. Hmm, he may not count.

I remember there being a lot of hoo-haa about Clancy Brown appearing in Enterprise.

And you've had wrestlers like Big Show, Tommy "Tiny" Lister and The Rock make appearances.

Just a couple I can think of off the top of my head.

Under the topic of "Gone on to bigger things": Ashley Judd! She played Ensign Robin Lefler in 2 TNG episodes - "Darmok" and "The Game."

Bob Gunton was the renegade Starfleet captain that Miles O'Brien served with. Ben Maxwell, if memory serves.

I'm sure Kirsten Dunst was in Dark Page, but it's not on her IMDB listing.

Terry O'Quinn - Admiral Eric Pressman, The Pegasus

I hope Ashley Judd doesn't read this! You do know she denies ever having been in Star Trek TNG, don't you? I want to meet her one day and make her sign a Robin Lefler photo just so I can see that sucked lemon look on her face. :guffaw:

^ That reminded me - Christian Slater and Kim Cattrall have both gone on to bigger and better things (if we're counting film appearances).

Joel Grey (born 11 April 1932; age 76) is an American stage, film, and television actor who played Caylem in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Resistance".

Born Joel Katz in Cleveland, Ohio, Grey's most notable stage credits include his role as the Master of Ceremonies in the original 1966 production of Cabaret for which he won a Tony Award. He later reprised the role for the 1972 film version, winning an Oscar and becoming one of only a handful of performers who have won the Tony and Oscar playing the same role. Other notable Broadway roles include George M. Cohan in 1968's George M!, Amos Hart in the 1996 revival of Chicago (with Bebe Neuwirth), and the Wizard of Oz in 2003's Wicked.

Among his many film credits are 1976's The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (based on the novel by Nicholas Meyer) and 1985's Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (with Kate Mulgrew, George Coe, Jeff Allin, Patrick Kilpatrick, and Michael Pataki).

Additionally, Grey has made many television appearances over the years including recurring roles as Doc in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and as Lemuel Idzik in Oz (with Kevin Conway and Reg E. Cathey).

He is the father of Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer Grey.
