One thing I would love to see in Star Trek XI opening credits

While I'm certainly not holding my breath... I'd expect something like the EMH cameo in First Contact, then his name appears lower in the End Credits. As it is, the opening titles will be crowded enough already... plus ommitting a few actors keeps the surprise.

I agree. I would actually rather be surprised than see it in the credits...kind of like Spock in Star Trek III...although I don't think anyone was surprised at that.

I too would love a nod to ENT, but cannot imagine this would really happen. Non-canonically, Archer dies the day after NCC-1701 is launched, so there is a way to work him in if they wanted/needed to.

Just a random thought here, but if Archer does see the NCC-1701 launch, that would connect the year he was born (2112) to when the Enterprise was destroyed over the Genesis planet (2285). That's a span of 173 years.

I'd love to see a cameo of Archer, or a nod to ENT. I don't expect to see it in the opening credits though.

Maybe we'll get screenshots on a viewer of Archer during an Academy class/lecture on Starfleet history. A brief mention of his role in the Xindi crisis and the forming of the Federation.
