Kinda looks nautical, think the ring drives look a bit like ducted propellors.

This is actually for an Alternate Reality of Trek whereas the Starfleet designed it's fleet around "Sphere Hulls" and "Warp Rings" that was created by an artist named Okwa over on DA... His lore is what really appealed to me:

Spheres are a rather good shape for starships.. That Soulwolf class ship looks a little like a modern era Perry Rhodan ship.
